Honest limits: each Cloud plan caps concurrent connections, publish rate and message size to keep tenant resources predictable, and the reconnection history holds roughly the last 100 updates on every plan — for no caps at all, run the OSS hub or Mercure Enterprise. All Cloud plans share infrastructure with strict tenant isolation; for dedicated nodes, contact sales.

Frequently asked questions.

Can I move between tiers?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time from the dashboard (Cloud) or by emailing sales@mercure.rocks (Self-Hosted). Cloud changes take effect on the next billing cycle.

What happens to messages older than the history buffer?

Older messages drop in FIFO order. Subscribers reconnecting with a Last-Event-ID older than the buffer’s oldest entry get a full re-sync signal so your client logic can decide how to recover. See /docs/concepts/reconnection-and-history.

Where does my data live?

Cloud runs in Amsterdam (EU) with encrypted nightly backups in Paris (EU). Self-Hosted runs wherever you deploy it. See the Security Policy and Sovereignty page.

Do Cloud plans include a DPA?

Yes. Our Article 28 Data Processing Agreement is in force on every paid Cloud subscription.

Is there a free trial for Cloud plans?

Not today: the open source hub is the free way to evaluate Mercure, and it runs the same code as Cloud. Cloud plans bill the first day of use; we issue prorated credits if you cancel within the first 14 days and explain why.

What does the Self-Hosted license key actually enforce?

Node count, connection cap, and the paid features (multi-node HA, Redis/PostgreSQL transports). The license is verified locally by the hub on startup; no traffic is sent to our servers.
